Week 38: Back to School

This Monday was the first real day of classes for most people in my department -- classes technically started last Thursday, but pretty much all our lectures run Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday, and not many discussion sections meet before the lectures start.

I'm also giving my apartment a good going-over, since my parents are coming in two weeks! It's going a little like this (except that there's only one of me, of course):

Week 37: Toys

Sorry I missed a week there. I got kind of disoriented coming back from California -- my work week ended on a Thursday, and it was Labor Day weekend, and I pretty much failed to realize that it was Sunday last Sunday.

My last few (dozen) photos from California are in the queue, but here's a little bit of what I've been up to in the meantime:


Last weekend was the last round of my "birthday month" festivities. Adam picked out plenty of nice things himself, and expanded the present pile by wrapping up some things that had come in my mail over the summer -- including the diploma for my master's degree! Hooray!


This past week, Adam and I went up to Massachusetts for the last fling of the summer. One of the things we flung was a Wind Rocket.
